Oriya sahib. Please read Quranic verse again and consider the words, "rising and rising RIBA”
I am still hesitant about how to translate word RIBA? But if Allah defines RIBA as one which keeps rising or rising too much, then we should consider what is the difference between profit/sood and RIBA. What do you say about some one using monopoly and charging a profit of 30-40 percent and feel happy he is not indulging in RIBA?
Some olomas say it is haram because one does not work hard to earn and earns while doing nothing. If that is the case then how about a person who rents his car or house and sits idle and do nothing, is he also indulging in RIBA?
The mother of Muslims, Kadija MPBU her, used to do business while our RasulAllah used to do all the hard work and traveling for her. What about that earning? One can say that was business and prone to loss. Yes, but banks are also prone to bankruptcies!
Could you kindly give your views keeping in mind the above questions.
Thanks.
