Javed Chaudhry as chief guest at ceremony of accountability system
ISLAMABAD (December 08, 2010) : Islamabad Police have adopted a very strict accountability system within the department to augment their efficiency and provide people better services, said Kaleem Imam, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, on Tuesday. "A strong accountability system within the department help eradicate many evils and enhance the efficiency and performance of the organisation”, Imam said while speaking in `An Hour with Guest’ programme of Islamabad Police.
The IGP said that the purpose of the programme is to build capacity of police officials so that they can have a platform to share their experiences with others and ensure best policing system through public support. He added that despite tough conditions, Islamabad police is serving people in the best possible way.
The occasion was graced by renowned journalist and anchor Javed Chaudhry as a chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Javed Chaudhry said policing is basically a risky job and those serving in the department are in fact serving the humanity, as they help resolve public matters and try to provide them maximum relief through addressing grievances. He observed that police have great challenges in the present scenario and those ensuring law and order and serving the humanity despite constraints need appreciation from the society.
Concluding, Javed Chaudhry said hard work leads to success and everyone belonging to any sector should adopt honest attitude for augmenting proficiency. The journalist also answered several questions raised by the policemen and later, was presented shield by IGP Islamabad.
DIG (Security) Dr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, SSP (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood, SP (Saddar) Khuram Rasheed, SP (City) Haroon Joya, SP Industrial Area Jameel Ahmed Hashmi, SP Javed Iqbal Khattak, SP Farhat Abbass Kazmi, SP Gulfam Nasir, DSP Tahir Iqbal and other police officials were also present on the occasion.
