Love your column about protocol and the so called VIP culture in Pakistan. The protocol that these pseudo-leaders of pseudo-democracy enjoy in the land of Paks is unheard of in the West and specially in the United States. These pigmies that think they are leaders, have no clue about what the leadership is all about. I attended a fund-raiser for a sitting governor of State of Maryland and was amazed to see that he came in a private car with his personal driver and the treasurer – no pomp or show; then attended a dinner with the former PRIME MINISTER of AZAD KASHMIR; you know the most powerful state in Asia. This clown came in a limo with a caravan of follow up cars and security. Inferiority complex or what, go figure.
